The Sapphire Pegasus Award recognizes and honors outstanding performances by companies and individuals in Business Aviation. In total 115 nominations were received at March 13 deadline which represents an increase 32% over last year. Most of nominations were for companies; several were for individual professionals. The Board of Advisors is now reviewing the nominations. The eight judges are industry experts and journalists who will have the final word on the election of the award winners. The organizers of the Sapphire Pegasus Awards have announced that due to exceptional demand the deadline for nominations has been extended by one week. The closing deadline will be Monday 13th March, this allows more time for companies to send in their nominations for all categories. The nomination procedure for the Sapphire Pegasus Award is completely open; anyone can nominate a company or individual of which they feel that recognition and honoring is appropriate. CEPA EXPO 2016 is gearing up for the very first Career Day dedicated to helping and encouraging young people to take a look at the career opportunities on offer in the aviation industry. The Careers Day takes place on day 1 of CEPA EXPO, the 18th October in the conference Hall at Vaclav Havel Airport, Prague. At the recent Embraer Executive Operator Conference in Munich ABS Jets were ranked in first place for the provision of aircraft maintenance services and AOG support in the EMEA region. It was noted that ABS Jets were particularly effective in terms of response time and availability. This is a major achievement by ABS Jets following diligent work to continually improve and raise the standards of maintenance work the company offers.

ABS Jets, the Prague based business jet operator, works closely with Honeywell on further enhancements of an in-flight weather awareness application, known as “Weather Information Service” (WIS). ABS Jets and their crews collaborate with Honeywell on design and validation of new features appearing soon in future releases of WIS.

Dagmar Grossmann was the recipient of a surprise award at the Sapphire Pegasus Awards Gala dinner in April in Prague.
